May, 2016. Anyone that lives in Hong Kong knows that finding clear, unpolluted and colourful weather is hard to come by, so to find these moments, this film project took us a year to complete. But when these days do arrive, there is nowhere is the world quite like Hong Kong. It's famous skyline is what has made Hong Kong so well known but also, one of the only things people think of when the hear of Hong Kong. What people don't know is that 40% of Hong Kong consists of country parks and nature reserves and that you can find spectacular views and trails only 20 minutes from the city.
January, 2014. Japan is Powder Heaven, there is no question about that. We spent 17 days in Japan this year and it snowed every one of those days with a total snowfall just over 3m... thats insane. It was our fourth time back and this time we got what we came for and more. Easily one of the deepest days skiing we've ever had and on an uncrowded mountain, it doesn't get any better than that!
Febuary, 2015. Skiing in Gulmarg, India. An experience I will never forget and I hope to return again soon.
May, 2014. In May 2014 I was lucky enough to attend Level 1's SuperUnknown's Final as an additional filmer for winning their FilmerUnknown competition. The 10 finalist spent 10 days hitting handcrafted features as well as enjoying a few down days in the lodge while myself and the Level 1 crew documented all the action.
Mitchel Brower ended up taking home the title, but every single person there had the time of their lives. It was also an amazing experience for myself as it was the first look I had into professional ski film documentary and as a result has opened a bunch of doors in my own career as a filmer.
There are many surf spots to go in the Philippines but they are becoming incredible popular due to the high quality of waves and cheap Island life. Baler, a lesser known spot has less crowds but still has high quality waves. The locals there were super friendly and happy to show us around to the best spots and give us pointers along the way
April, 2014. Each year, Hong Kong Football Club hosts what can only be described as the best Rugby 10s tournament in the world. Teams from all over the world come to play, many of which have ex international players on their teams either coaching or playing. The standard gets higher and higher each year with 2014 being no exception. Its a great event leading straight into the world renowned Hong Kong Rugby 7's weekend making it a week of rugby not to be missed
The Hong Kong 24hr Pedal Kart Grand Prix is a charitable fund raising event that has been taking place for over 25 years. The event see's teams from some of Hong Kong's biggest companies, Universities, Schools and local clubs compete in a 24hr Le Mans style endurance race in custom and home built human powered pedal karts.
I've always been interested in this event so was lucky enough to be invited to film it this year (2014). It was a long weekend but a lot of fun.
October, 2012. 10 years ago, Bali experienced a terrible bombing where 27 people were killed. Many of which were rugby players, fans and friends that had attended the Bali Rugby Fest in 2002. This year I went along to the event to commemorate the 10 anniversary of the bombing and film the event with the boys from Tsunami Sport.
The event was fantastic as many teams returned from 10 years ago and many more joined the festivities. The games were played in great spirit and everyone was having a good time. I had a couple days before the tournament to go see what Bali had to offer. Surf, sun, great food and great times.
January, 2014. A promotional video for one of Coastal Fitness's Crossfit Competitions, a rapidly growing sport in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong 7's is the most prestigious rugby 7's tournament in the world, dating back to 1976. It is the highlight of many rugby fans year, bringing in thousands of spectators from all around the globe. In 2015 I was asked by Kukri Sports to create a 55 second advert to go on the big screen on the stadium and played throughout a 3 day weekend. With the focus being on Kukri's large collection of clothing I tried to show case this, mixing in both rugby and HK elements in a more creative way. It is a huge honour for me to make a video for this event as I have been involved with it since I was 3 years old.
Promotional video produced for a premier Cross Fit and Personal Training gym in Hong Kong.
Kukri Hong Kong Rugby Sevens Advert, 2016.

September, 2012. For years my Grandfather wouldn't talk about his war experiences and I was amazed to discover that my Dad really only knew the bare bones of his story. It was only recently, when we (the grand kids) started asking questions, did he start talking about his experience before getting comfortable enough to write down his memoirs. The stories seem endless; it only feels right to capture his experiences from being captured by the Germans, his eventual escape after learning Italian through a English-Italian dictionary before skiing out the remainder of the war in Switzerland.
He might be 93 but tells a good story
January, 2013. Part 2 of my Grandpa's World War II story takes place in a Hospital in Italy where he was held as a Prisoner of War. Learning Italian through the daily newspapers and a English-Italian dictionary would prove to be a life saving endeavour.
September, 2013. This is the third and final story of my Grandad's World War Two experience. This story begins where the last one left off, in hospital trying to find a way out.
While in hospital he saw a noticeboard with a message saying "Wanted: British POWs to work in the neighbourhood", so he took the chance and ended up in a farm with two of his friends from hospital. From here it was a matter of finding a way to escape the farm and make his way to Switzerland. Along the way he and his two friends encountered more than a few problems and the tale of his escape is one that leaves a lot of emotion and hardship behind. This is my favourite part of the story, and one I won't ever forget.
